As a physician, author, and babywearing mama of four, I have tried many baby carriers. Here is why I love the UpMama: First of all, this is a simply beautiful carrier...stunning fabrics, well-made and very streamlined. Secondly, this sling offers the benefits of the pouch design but has the flexibility of a ring sling. My newborn daughter fits nicely in the deep pouch and I am able to breastfeed discretely. When she is done, I can wear her upright in the tummy to tummy position by tightening the top rail.
Because of the excellent shoulder design, I can comfortably wear my 22 month old, 28 pound toddler on my back. One final perk is the perfect zippered pocket in the tail - just right for storing valuables that you would not trust in an open or partially velcroed pocket. I often pop into a store with nothing but the baby in the sling with my wallet, keys and cell phone zipped securely in the pocket.

"They are very well made, and are very comfy for me and my 18 month old/ 23lb daughter. I love the shoulder style, the pocket, the aluminum rings and the serged edges. I find the cotton sateen has the perfect amount of give (not too stretchy, just right!) and threads really easily though the rings without slipping once she's in. The pouch seat really keeps mydaughter snug, and I never need to readjust this sling once it's on properly. I sincerely wish I'd had one of these from the moment she was born!"

"I have to say that this is one of the most comfortable rings slings that I have ever used. I have a lot of experience with carriers, and this one is one of the best. It holds my newborn baby in perfectly like a pouch, but is very adjustable. The material is very soft and gently supportive. The shoulder is narrower so I can still move my arm, but made in such a way that the weight is evenly distrubuted and I felt no pressure points while carrying my daughter. The sling is very well made with a nice big pocket on the tail that zips. I love this sling, it has now become one of my favorites!"
